Clear TV is a product of SUBISU CABLENET LIMITED, Nepal’s leading Cable TV, Internet and Network Service Provider. “CLEAR TV” has been introduced as the country's first Digital Cable Television service with High Definition and Standard Definition channels broadcasted to individual subscribers through Set Top Box (STB) using Conditional Access System (CAS) over cable.

Clear TV Set Top Box (STB) is a high end device with a processing power over 1500 MIPS, supporting MPEG4 H.264 at 1080p resolution and the capacity to record and play any SD or HD program (PVR ready). This STB is prepared for pure IPTV or hybrid QAM-IPTV platforms. Designed for TV and Internet convergence, it supports video on demand services, some interactive Android 4.0 apps and over the top TV channels.

Clear TV STB is feature packed with:-

i. The Capacity to record and play multi format contents on an external USB hard disk or flash memory

ii. Home Screen (for one window overview of the entire service)

iii. Electronic Program Guide (7 days detailed hour-by-hour of program guide of each channel)

iv. Favorite (to list favorite channel enabling to quick jump )

v. Catch- Up TV (catch up to your favorite program, if in case you miss them)

vi. Video On Demand (watch movies, TV shows, documentaries, etc, at your will)

vii. Program Reminder & Recording (set up reminder or record program of your interest )

Analogue channels are prone to fading, snow, and ghosts whereas Digital TV reproduces crystal-clear picture and sound without fading or interference. A digital format provides better picture quality & sound and other benefits leading to a better quality service. The DTV transition is happening because digital is a better television experience - better picture and better sound.

The key difference for the viewer between High Definition (HD) channels and normal digital channels is the picture quality. Simply because high definition broadcasts look much better. HD digital channel gives clear, sharp pictures with vivid colors and gives up to five times more details than normal digital channels.

Company provides 6 months warranty on the STB. Provided warranty excludes malicious damage, damages due to voltage fluctuation and high voltage or any other such damages. Both the remote and power cable carries 3 months warranty.

Customer will have to purchase Set Top Box (STB) to be able to subscribe and use Clear TV digital television service provided by the Company. One STB works only for one television set. Additional STB will be required for additional television sets and thus will have to be purchased by subscriber accordingly.

STB is sold on outright purchase basis. Therefore, if in case STB is lost or damaged, subscriber needs to purchase a new one as per actual.

Customer can shift their Clear TV service. However shifting is dependable on network availability.

Customer can make the payment to the representative who installs the service, right after the installation is completed.

Generally, this type issue occurs due to weak RF signal. To identify the RF signal issue, Please check RF signal status by pressing info button of the Remote Control twice and see if the RF Signal Quality and Signal Strength are fluctuating or not. If it’s fluctuating, please consult with our technical support team for further assistance.

It generally means that either STB is off, HDMI/CVBS cable is unplugged or wrong input source is being selected in the TV set. Please check if the STB is turned ON, HDMI/CVBS cable is properly plugged into the STB and TV set and selects the appropriate input source of the TV set. If the issue still persists, please consult with our technical support team for further assistance.

This issue generally happens when the STB doesn’t get RF signal. Please check if the co-axial wire which comes from pole to your house is connected to the STB or not. Check if the cable is cut off somewhere in the middle (pole to your house). If both of above are fine please consult with our technical support team for further assistance.

This issue generally occurs when STB isn’t able to read the smart card inserted into the STB. Please check if the Smart-Card is correctly inserted into the STB (Chip side of Smart Card should be inserted into the STB facing the chip downwards). If issue still persists, the Smart Card or Card holder of the STB can be assumed to be damaged. This issue generally occurs when there are no any services tuned in the STB. Please press NIT button on the Clear TV remote which will trigger a search command on the STB. Please check if the STB is tuning the channels during search progress. The channel should work fine and this message should disappear after the completion of search process. If the issue still persists after performing NIT search, please consult our technical support team for further assistance.

For this type of issue, please press NIT button on the STB which will trigger a search command on the STB. The missing channel should come back after the NIT search completion. After search process completion if the missing channels still doesn’t appear there must be probable RF Signal issue. Please consult with our technical team for further assistance.

This issue generally occurs when the battery kept in Remote Control is discharged and it’s time for new battery replacement. Check if the indicator on the top of the Remote Control blinks whenever you press any button of the RCU. If it doesn’t blink, Please check the battery kept in the Remote Control.
